Few vinyl window manufacturers offer a lifetime guarantee of their windows and doors. Vinyltek guarantees all our new construction or replacement windows and doors to the original purchaser, for as long as you own your home.
Our guarantee covers any material or workmanship defects. We will repair or replace at no charge and cover the costs of parts and labour. In the event that repair or replacement is not possible or cannot occur in a timely manner, we'll refund you the purchase price.
Who's Covered?
Our warranty covers the original purchaser of Vinyltek products. The warranty start date commences on the date of purchase of a new home (when Vinyltek products are installed on a new construction home) or from the date of installation (when Vinyltek products are installed as replacement windows). The warranty remains in effect for as long as the original purchaser owns the home. If the original purchaser sells the home before 15 years have lapsed from the “start date,” the warranty will automatically extend to the new owners and any subsequent owners, until the 15th anniversary of the “start date.”
What's Not Covered?
Damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, alterations (including the use of applied tints, films, or customer applied-finishes), normal wear and tear, broken glass, natural weathering of exterior finishes, acts of nature (such as fires or hurricanes), improper installation, storage or handling, or failure to properly care for and maintain Vinyltek products. Note that normal wear and tear, including discolouration of hardware component finishes is not a defect and is not covered by this warranty.
Limitations on Remedies
In no event will Vinyltek be liable for incidental or consequential damages (other than labour to repair or replace products, screens or stainless steel hardware under this warranty), whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. The above provisions are not intended to operate where prohibited by law. This express warranty may be extended by a provincial consumer statute.
Screens
Vinyltek will replace any Vinyltek window or door screen frame and mesh that is defective in materials or workmanship at no charge to the original purchaser Vinyltek will pay for parts and labour for a period of one year after the warranty start date.
Painted Product
Vinyl frames painted by Vinyltek are guaranteed against cracking, peeling, blistering or excessive fading for a period of 15 years after the start date.
